Records?

If this is no longer a list of record setting marriages, why does it still have a 'record' column and why is it in Category:World records? This seems like a hasty attempt to paper over some of the perceived problems from the AfD. Pburka (talk) 15:31, 14 July 2019 (UTC)

I renamed the column from "record" to "additional information" and removed Category:World records. The column should be retained so more information can be said in the table about a marriage such as "Longest marriage in Spain" and "Longest marriage ever in The Netherlands". This isn't a record setting list anymore. Only two entries have actually made it into Guinness World Records. Later entries are not verified so I have indicated that as such. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 20:48, 17 July 2019 (UTC)
Since then, more news articles have reported some couples that made Guinness World Records before, so I noted those entries in the list. AngusWOOF (barksniff) 21:21, 17 July 2019 (UTC)

Longest Croatian married couple

Ivan and Anka Batalić were married from January 1931 until her death in February 2016. Her obituary: http://dalmacijo-usrcu.blogspot.com/2016/02/ana-batalic-maovice-nije-vise-s-nama.html on Croatian. Newspaper about her death and note that they were in their 86th year of marriage.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Miloradovan (talkcontribs) 20:32, 30 January 2020 (UTC)

Thanks, Radovan, so exactly 85 (!) years then, but do you happen to know her exact date of death and also his? Extremely sexy (talk) 00:04, 31 January 2020 (UTC)

It is always stated they married in January of 1931. She was buried on 23 February 2016, but her exact death date is not known to me currently, and he died later in the year on 21 May 2016: http://dalmacijo-usrcu.blogspot.com/2016/05/ivan-batalic-maovice-nije-vise-s-nama.html— Preceding unsigned comment added by Miloradovan (talkcontribs) 13:51, 31 January 2020 (UTC)

"Great", but their exact date of marriage is also unknown then I guess? Extremely sexy (talk) 01:18, 1 February 2020 (UTC)
No I do not know at this time their exact date. I have relatives near by and I will see what I can find out.— Preceding unsigned comment added by Miloradovan (talkcontribs) 19:15, 2 March 2020 (UTC)
Thanks actually. 62.235.138.156 (talk) 03:40, 5 March 2020 (UTC)

I write to inform you that I could not find anything after a year. COVID-19 made everything different. I will try in future. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.245.175.246 (talk) 21:20, 26 February 2021 (UTC)

Indian Kiddie marriages

No Indian kiddie marriages should be listed. A marriage is between a man and a woman not between two 3 year old kids. 2600:1015:A022:2D41:BF4:37BE:3C0E:47D (talk) 20:36, 24 April 2023 (UTC)
